Why Testimonials ?

We've just published some testimonials of clients we have recently done work for. Take a look!

We've never done this in the past and several reasons behind it. Probably the main reason is that we couldn't find the time to do it and/or didn't see the need for it, holding to the old philosophy that "the portfolio alone speaks for itself".

Also, there was (and still is to some extend) a trend of companies in the web trying to look like big corporations. You know... using stock photos of a ten storey building behind a guy with a dark suit and a red tie when in fact they've been running the operation off of a garage. Not that I have anything against a business starting in a garage or being small, there is nothing wrong with that (we are a small agency ourselves). What I hate is the idea of businesses trying to portray something they are not.

Well, what does that has to do with testimonials anyway?

I'm glad you asked.

Part of that trend was (or is) placing testimonials in the website of a company that has been operating for just a few days and haven't had the first customer yet. Nice-crafted well-written testimonials but with no history behind them and not real client to trace it to. Now you see?

Then, why did we decided to publish testimonials ?

I think one of the most rewarding experiences a designer can have is to see the face expression of a happy client when he or she sees for the first time "the final product', being a website, a corporate logo or a graphic work you did for their company. Even more accelerating is the "wow" effect that a good design can make, and then that grateful client, return time after time to the point of creating a long lasting business relationship.

Many of them in the past have offered to write something to benefit the agency, others have sent a thank you card and others (most of them) have referred a friend to us (and as I'm sure you know, "referrals" is what have built and what keeps this agency going), but for the visitor that comes in contact with us for the first time, we thought it was a good idea to put not only the portfolio but some words of gratitude with it and/or perhaps some benefits their businesses have experienced as a result of our service.

Take a look at what others are saying, and check often as we add more.
